The following pictures were taken during my 12 day tour of Malaysia in 2009. This tour was put on by Malaysia Tourism for the Canadian Institute of Travel Consellors.  For a similar experience, check out Intrepid Travel - Sabah Discovery or the Sabah Adventure   For a Borneo adventure try Borneo Encompassed with G Adventures.

Day 1 - Vancouver - Taipei - Kuala Lumpur on China Airlines.  Our hotel in Kuala Lumpur was the Prince Hotel, which is 5 star accommodation.  It had a beautiful pool and a great restaurant.  Some rooms have a view of the Petronas Towers.  You can easily arrange your own self guided tour of Kuala Lumpur if you aren't with a tour.

Day 7 - Kota Kinabalu to Pulau Sapi.  We had breakfast at the hotel and departed for Tunku Abdul Rahman jetty.  We needed to bring along a change of clothes, swimming attire, sun block lotion and a towel.  Sapi is known for its marine life. We had a BBQ on the beach and enjoyed Sea-walking for $85 on the seabed of the South China Sea.  We returned to our hotel in Kota Kinabalu and dined at @tmosphere Restaurant.
