Day 1 - Vancouver
- Taipei - Kuala Lumpur on China Airlines. Our hotel in Kuala Lumpur
was the Prince Hotel, which is 5 star accommodation. It had a beautiful pool
and a great restaurant. Some rooms have a view of the Petronas
Towers. You can easily arrange
your own self guided tour of Kuala Lumpur if you aren't with a tour.

Welcome CITC delegates to Kuala Lumpur! (Petronas Towers)
Day 5 - Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu in Borneo to the
Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, which was also fabulous accommodation on the
waterfront. We had breakfast at
the hotel,
checked out and transferred to the KLIA International Airport for our flight to Kota Kinabalu. We
arrived in the late afternoon and had free time. Dinner was suggested on the Promenade where there was an array of local and
international cuisine, but I ate a delicious buffet dinner at the Hyatt.

Day 7 - Kota Kinabalu to Pulau Sapi. We had breakfast at the
hotel and departed for Tunku Abdul Rahman jetty. We needed to bring
along a change of clothes, swimming attire, sun block lotion and a
towel. Sapi is known for its marine life. We had a BBQ on the beach
and enjoyed Sea-walking for $85 on the seabed of the South China Sea.
We
returned to our hotel in Kota Kinabalu and dined at @tmosphere Restaurant.

Day 8 - We toured Kota
Kinabalu, including:

Kota Kinabalu National Mosque - Its majestic dome and stunning gold inlay
motifs, are a unique combination of prevailing Islamic architecture and contemporary
design. We had to wear robes and head dress that were supplied

Handicraft Market - There's a chance to check out an authentic sompoton (a traditional wind instrument) and a Murut headhunter's
blowpipe in this vast market.

Sabah Museum - the State's showcase of its rich cultural heritage and exhibits
of Sabah's history, culture, social and natural history.

Monsopiad Cultural Village - The headhunter’s
museum, displaying the local ethnic heritage village and museum,
including tribal homes and schools, as well as a daily cultural show.
We had dinner at Port View Seafood Village

Day 9 - Kota Kinabalu – Sandakan – Sepilok - Sukau.
Early this morning we took a short flight to Sandakan and then drove 23 km to the Sepilok
Orangutan Sanctuary.
We arrived in Sepilok in time for feeding time @ 10.00 AM. After
Sepilok, we proceeded to Sandakan jetty and took a 2- hour boat ride to the Sukau
Rainforest Lodge. We had lunch at lodge and then took a river cruise down the
Kinabatangan River with the opportunity to view birds and wildlife. We returned to the lodge for
dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10 - Sukau – Sandakan –Kuala Lumpur. After
breakfast at the lodge, we returned to Sandakan. We then
retraced out flights to Kota Kinabalu and Kuala Lumpur where we spent
the night in a hotel.

Day 11 -
Kuala Lumpur - Melaka. This morning we took a road trip to
Melaka, Malaysia’s Historical City.
We checked into the Hotel
Puri Malaca and then went for lunch. The
hotel didn't look like much on the outside, but it was very pretty
inside. After
lunch we took the Melaka City Tour, including:
• Dutch Square – Queen Victoria Fountain, Clock Tower
• Christ Church
• St. Paul’s Church
• A’Famosa
• Jonker Street – Baba & Nyonya Museum, Cheng Ho’s Museum
We had dinner at Portuguese Square.
