POLICIES

Alcohol - Effective spring 2012, vacations on the award-winning Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity will include complimentary fine wines and premium spirits throughout the ship and open bar service in all lounges.

Smoking - Most areas of the ships are non-smoking. There are designated smoking and non-smoking tables in most bars and lounges (except The Bistro, inside the Lido Café, Palm Court, Stardust, the Crystal Dining Room, Prego, Silk Road and The Sushi Bar restaurants, and the Galaxy Lounge, which are entirely smoke-free). Pipes and cigars are permitted only in the Connoisseur Club, and on the "open decks," except all areas of Lido Deck (deck 11 on Crystal Symphony, and deck 12 on Crystal Serenity). Pipes and cigars may not be smoked in guest Penthouses, staterooms, on verandahs or in corridors. Crystal Cruises kindly asks its guests to observe the non-smoking areas, which have been created for the comfort and enjoyment of everyone on board.

Please note: Smoking is no longer allowed in Starlite Club (aboard Crystal Symphony) OR on verandahs of all staterooms and suites aboard both Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. Smoking is permitted in select public areas, as designated above.

Tipping - Because tipping is a personal matter, Crystal Cruises does not include gratuities in the cruise fares. Suggested guidelines for stateroom and dining service gratuities are as follows: stewardess, $5 per guest, per day (single travelers, $6 per day); senior waiter, $5 per guest, per day; waiter, $3 per guest, per day; butler (Penthouse decks), $5 per guest, per day.

Tips for the maître d', headwaiter, assistant stewardess and night Room Service personnel are at your discretion. Gratuities may be prepaid or charged to your shipboard account.

For our specialty restaurants, Prego, Silk Road and The Sushi Bar, we suggest $7 per guest, per dinner. A 15% gratuity for all bar drinks and wines is added to your bar check automatically. We suggest a 15% gratuity for Crystal Spa & Salon services..

Crystal Cancellation Policy - Cancellation or category downgrade requests must be by telephone or in writing to Crystal Cruises. If the request is received by Crystal Cruises more than 75 days prior to the Crystal Air/Sea Program or, for non Air/Sea Guests, the Cruise, departure date (“Departure Date”), in the event of a cancellation, a full refund of Total Fare (including cruise, air, hotel and Extended Land Programs); and in the event of category downgrade, full refund of the cruise only difference between the original category and the downgraded category will be made to the Guest through the travel agent, except as noted herein below. Later cancellations will be assessed the following charges by Crystal Cruises, regardless of a name change or stateroom resale: 75 to 45 days before the Departure Date in the event of cancellation, 10% of Total Fare (including cruise, air, hotel and Extended Land Programs) per Guest; in the event of category downgrade, 10% of the cruise only difference between the original category and the downgraded category; 44 to 15 days before the Departure Date: 50% calculated as above for full cancellation and category downgrade, respectively; 14 days and thereafter before the Departure Date: 100%, calculated as above for full cancellation and category downgrade, respectively.

Single Supplement - Single Traveler Fares are based on the cruise only fare: 125% for category C (130% for World Cruise 2010 Voyages); 135% (140% for World Cruise 2010 Voyages) for categories B and A; 150% for category AA; 175% for category PH; 200% for categories PS and CP. The applicable cruise-only credit is then added for an Air-Inclusive Single Fare. Single Fares are capacity-controlled, and may be withdrawn at any time.  Crystal also has an Ambassador Host program that ensures older single men are available for dinner, dancing and shore excursions.
